Crimpers are available in manual and electric variants. It is a personal choice whether you purchase a manual or electric crimping tool.

After a crimping tool has had its day, it is possible to replace only the crimping head. Therefore it is not necessary to purchase a completely new crimping tool if the crimping tool itself is still in good condition.

To properly close vials, it is required to adjusted crimping tool. Not closing the vial properly can cause evaporation. Closing a vial too hard can deformate the septa, preventing the needle of the GC or LC from puncturing the septa properly and causing the needle to deform.
