“I love the Rinse Solution. I must admit I was skeptical at first, but it really makes a difference! I was able to significantly reduce both my volume and rinse time between samples. One thing that I am pleased with and didn’t really expect is that the solution doesn’t seem to slowly pick up background metals like my HCl rinse would. I often had to replace the HCl rinse solution before I got through all 250 ml of volume because it slowly builds up background. This rinse solution not only did not do that, but continued to work very well after I refilled it halfway through the bottle with DI water.

For this, I rinsed for 30 seconds with HCl at a pump speed of 0.5 rpm. With your solution, I can rinse for 10 seconds at my normal pumping speed of 0.1 rpm and still get good cleaning between samples. This was most evident with my blank method. My normal process is to take 3 blank samples after the highest standards, then the blank method for the samples. I was able to reduce that to just 1 blank sample and basically eliminated the Hg carryover that I was trying to avoid with those extra blanks.’

How to Reduce Interferences for 69 Elements

Inorganic Ventures will provide you an insight into their kitchen on Thursday, July 1, 2021, between 15:00 -16:00h (Amsterdam time).

In a webinar, the chemists at Inorganc Ventures will walk you through the creation of calibration standards. In doing so, they take into account chemical compatibility and potential interference issues.

How to reduce interferences for 69 elements?

Furthermore, the capabilities and limitations of the ICP-OES instrumentation are discussed, including sample introduction systems and axial versus radial views. You will learn how to prepare a diverse population of samples to avoid detailed matrix matching. Finally, we discuss the data Workup process and demonstrate how user-generated interference tables are used to interpret your data.

This presentation will discuss the design of the test method used in the lab for Custom CRM products. This ICP-OES method is a good example of the process you can follow in creating methods in your lab for solving your unique challenges.

Titel : EasyPREP Robotic Sample Handler voor ICP Liquid Handling

Automatiseer het toevoegen en normaliseren van corrosieve reagentia aan monsters voor ICP ontsluiting- en analyse met het EasyPREP werkstation.

De robot doseert zuren voor ontsluiting, voegt interne standaard toe, normaliseert, homogeniseert, verdunt, aliquoteert, maakt kalibratie reeksen, dispenseert tot 7 reagentia. Speciaal ontworpen software maakt een veilige en nauwkeurige dosering van sterke zuren, inclusief HF, mogelijk met minimale tot geen verspilling.

Titel: De voordelen van boraatfusie voor XRF, ICP en andere analysemethoden

Alkalische fusie, en vooral boraatfusie, is een ontsluitingsstechniek die vuurvaste materialen (bijv. zeldzame aardmetalen, siliciumdioxide, aluminiumoxide, zirkonium en titaan, gemakkelijk kan ontsluiten. Deze worden als de moeilijkste matrices beschouwd.

Een veelgebruikte techniek voor de ontsluiting van monsters voor vloeistofanalyse omvat sterke zuren. Zelfs het sterkste zuur is vaak niet krachtig genoeg om het hele monster te ontsluiten. Bovendien vormt het een gevaar voor de veiligheid.

In de Katanax van SPEX SamplePrep vindt de reactie veilig plaats in een gesloten oven en de verkregen smelt kan voor XRF als glazen schijf omgevormd worden of in oplossing worden gebracht voor ICP analyse in ongeveer 20 minuten.

Het webinar omvat een live virtuele demonstratie van deze apparatuur in actie en de mogelijkheid om rechtstreeks vragen te stellen aan Katanax-fusiespecialisten.

Shelf life standards up to five years

Standards of Inorganic Ventures have always had a certified shelf life of one year. With new technology it is now possible to store standards for ICP-OES, ICP-MS and AAS for up to 5 years without changing the concentration. These 5 years start when a batch is produced. It is therefore not the case that these can be kept for another 5 years when you receive the standard. However, we strive to deliver standards that have a shelf life of at least two years when they are delivered to the customer. However, this cannot be guaranteed. Of course, we still guarantee a shelf life of at least one year.

Background; what is transpiration?

Transpiration refers to the wall of a bottle that allows water vapour to pass through and/or through evaporation from the closed bottle opening. It leads to an increase in the concentration of the CRM/RM.

The solution

Transpiration Control Technology extends the shelf life of the product. Inorganic Ventures uses a special aluminized bag that prevents an increase in concentration until the bag is opened. The sealed TCT bag stops the loss of water vapour from the bottle when equilibrium is reached in the bag. So it’s the same high Inorganic Ventures TCT zakkenquality product as you’ve come to expect from them, but even more improved.

TCT is an investment by Inorganic Ventures that extends the shelf life of the standards and gives you more control over your standards without it costing you extra. The unconditional guarantee of the products remains the same.

What does this mean for you?

Standards that you receive from now on will be packed in a TCT bag. In the sealed bag, the standard is certified for four years. When you open the bag, the standard is certified for one year. After receiving the product, you keep the bag closed until you start using it. The bag states how long you can use the product before it expires.

De Katanax X-600 Fluxer is de volgende stap in elektrische fusie apparatuur en is ontwikkeld met in het achterhoofd het meest veeleisende laboratorium. De X-600 bereidt 6 monsters per run en 24 tot 30 monsters per uur en wordt ingezet om glasparels te maken voor de XRF én/of oplossingen voor ICP. Wisselen van glasparels naar oplossingen gaat snel een eenvoudig.

  • De verwarmingselementen zijn onbereikbaar voor flux doordat die geseald in een cartridge in de achterwand geplaatst zijn;
  • Ieder element wordt individueel geregeld en automatisch gecompenseerd waardoor de temperatuuruniformiteit per monster zeer goed is. Ook na verloop van tijd is er geen drift in temperatuur;
  • Wanneer een verwarmingselement kapot gaat wordt dit door de andere elementen automatisch gecompenseerd, ook tijdens de run. Er kan doorgewerkt worden met het systeem totdat het element wordt vervangen;
  • Er is geen aparte transformator nodig. Hierdoor heeft de X-600 minder ruimte nodig en maakt veel minder lawaai;
  • Zeer korte opwarmtijd van minder dan 15 minuten;
  • Het apparaat is intrinsiek zo veilig dat het geen tweede thermokoppel nodig heeft;
  • De houders voor Crucibles en Molds zijn volledig keramisch en hebben geen bewegende delen; hierdoor geen contaminatie door corrosie van metalen delen;
  • De afvoer van dampen verloopt via 6 ventilatiepoorten waardoor de kans op afzettingen die vervolgens tot contaminatie kunnen leiden veel kleiner is;
  • Het 7.1 inch. Industrial Grade kleuren Touchsceen met intuïtieve software maakt gebruik van iconen voor eenvoudige bediening;
  • De LED achtergrondverlichting geeft aan of het systeem warm (rood) of koud (blauw) is.
