DigiPREP system for Open Digestion
DigiPREP is a Teflon coated block of graphite with uniform mat heating. The block is provided with a varying number of sample positions into which polypropylene sample tubes are placed.
This system is particularly suitable for unlocking with hydrochloric, nitric, aqua regia and hydrofluoric acid(*). For 50ml tubes, DigiPREP unlocking blocks with 24, 48 -and 72 positions are available. The 100ml version is available with 12, 30 and 42 positions and the 15ml version is available in 108 and 40 positions.
A unique feature of this system is that it is controlled on sample temperature using a probe in a reference sample, the DigiPROBE. This results in a very controlled and precisely adjustable destruction temperature that is preferably set at sub boiling point level. This precisely controlled temperature also preserves volatile elements such as Hg and As. In addition, violent reactions can be controlled by this temperature control.
The temperature programs can also be set and also logged with the software program Go2Temp.
The digestion takes place in the 15ml, 50ml or 100ml DigiTUBES with (plastic) watch glass or unscrewed screw caps attached. These single-use digestion tubes are made of high-purity polyprolylene that contains ultra-low levels of metal contaminants. With DigiFILTERs you filter the dissected samples.

This software provides, among other things:

- Datalogging
- Probe calibration
- User levels
- Possibility to scale up to 16 blocks
Optionally, a ‘scheduler’ can be used to schedule a run. It is also possible to extend the first license with Add On modules to control up to 16 DigiPREP access blocks from one PC.
Each block then has its own tab in the overview screen of the software.
(*) Destruction with fluoric acid is done in Teflon tubes as polypropylene is not resistant to it .
