8530 Shatterbox®
The 8530 Shatterbox® from Cole Parmer (formerly SPEX Europe) grinds hard, brittle samples in minutes. It is a ring & puck mill with a soundproof housing that grinds up to 100 grams of samples into a fine analytical powder. Ideal for pulverizing dry, brittle samples and grinding sludge. It swings a saucer-shaped grinding cup, with a puck and (often) a ring inside, in a small circle at high speed.
Typical samples include: cement, soil, ceramics, slag, rocks, minerals, ores, pharmaceuticals, sulphur granules and dried plant material.
